Current reigning WOW World Champion, former WOW World Tag Team Champion, and the Best Damn Thing WOW’s Ever Seen, Penelope Pink, joins the Official WOW Podcast to talk about her upcoming title defense against last week’s podcast guest, Santana Garrett. For Penelope Pink, this is just another day in the office.
Penelope Pink on the pressure of being WOW World Champion: “At the end of the day, anyone who’s been put in front of me, I’ve beaten them, so why are we repeating history.”
Pink defeated former WOW World Champion, Tormenta, to win her second singles WOW World Championship and has spent her current reign defending against several of WOW’s top contenders. Santana Garrett won the recent Fatal Four Way #1 Contender Elimination Match to set up the upcoming, highly anticipated WOW World Championship match. If Santana Garrett is able to defeat Penelope Pink, Garrett will also become a two time WOW World Champion who has also held the WOW World Tag Team Title.
Penelope Pink on Santana Garrett: “If everyone wants to rah rah and cheer Santana on, that’s fine I can be the bad guy, I can be the villain, and I can crush all her dreams… She can look up with tears in her eyes and say ‘Sorry dad.’”
Nigel Zane and David McLane continued chatting with Pink about all things wrestling. Over her extensive experience on the independent wrestling circuit, Pink has no shortage of stories to share. She’s shared rooms with Sting, Goldberg, and the controversial Vince McMahon!
Penelope Pink on her wrestling idols – Sting and Goldberg: “I was head over heels all about Sting and Bill Goldberg. They were my guys… In passing I have met Sting… I have not met Goldberg. I was in the same room as Vince McMahon before, but we were definitely not allowed to talk to him.”
Pink went on to speculate that IQ Superior Samantha Smart’s intentions have been incorrectly read with regard to the black book that was slid into the ring during Santana Garrett’s #1 Contender Match. Pink asserts that Smart was actually aiming to slide the book to Santana Garrett to help her ascend to #1 Contender status. Smart has mysteriously involved herself in Garrett’s affairs, and conspiracy theories are always swirling around Samantha Smart. Regardless of Smart’s motives, Garrett won that Fatal Four Way #1 Contender match anyway.
Penelope Pink on Samantha Smart: “She needs to keep her nose in a book where it belongs. But again she slid that book in…I think it was for Santana, you know what, I think she’s trying to give [Santana] an easy win”
Penelope Pink on WOW’s future: “I want to take it to the highest level humanly possible. I want to see WOW on every channel, I want to see WOW traveling, I want to see just everything I ever thought of as a kid manifested.”
Penelope Pink on taking her singles title to her wedding: “I went through Las Vegas [airport] security and made sure the everybody was done ogling that WOW World Title so that I could take it all the way and surprise every guest at my wedding… I got a standing ovation, ‘cause you know, that’s the best damn wedding any of them were going to see”
