Sophia uprooted her life in Mexico to move to California and start all over several different times, proving that with enough grit and commitment, anyone can make their dreams into reality!

Just like many of her WOW sisters, Sophia fought through a hard battle with breast cancer, and thankfully came out the other end stronger than ever! She shares a story about the advice she got from Jungle Grrrl after she found the lump, and her fear when receiving her heartbreaking diagnosis. Sophia pushed through treatment, miraculously avoiding a complication that the doctors had deemed inevitable, and returned to the WOW ring to manage the next generation of WOW Superheroes.

Sophia Lopez on her cancer journey: “It was very hard because I kept all of this a secret for a long time…I was so scared. The only thing that gave me hope was WOW, going to the tapings, I was so excited. And I remember the first thing that came to my mind after getting the bad diagnosis was, ‘I’m a WOW Superhero’ so I felt like I can do this…there is no room to feel bad or to feel sorrow…I’m a WOW Superhero.”
