WOW’s most decorated manager, The Fabulous One Lana Star, took over the Official WOW Podcast last week, but not without aptly renaming it “The Lana Star Show!” Known for her signature color, hot pink, her glamorized powerhouse faction, The Fab Four, and her sneaky ringside schemes, Lana Star is not only a former WOW World Champion in her own right, but also boasts the highest number of championship titles held within her stable of WOW Superheroes.

As a young girl, Lana was a huge fan of Brett Hart and his influence is very clear when you look at the styling of the Fab Four Faction: bright pink gear, huge sunglasses, and larger than life mannerisms.

Lana Star on Brett Hart: “Brett Hart, and the Hart foundation, were my thing.. I’m like black and pink, I’m going to be a wrestler… I just thought he was the coolest…so that was an inspiration when I was thinking about ‘hey maybe I’m going to transition to managing’… oh my god, I could have my own Hart foundation but it’s the Fab Four!”

Lana recalls the day she tried out for WOW. Her agent sent her to a tryout without knowing it was to be a WOW wrestler, but then called her and warned her to leave when he found out. Lana, being a long time fan of wrestling, was thrilled at the opportunity to get in the ring, but wasn’t sure how her tryout went. Coincidentally, one of Lana’s friends was going to a Christmas party that David was also attending, so Lana decided to approach David and remind him of her tryout. David said he remembered her, and sure enough he said, “You’re in!” The rest is history.
