Lil J-Boogie Talks Dance, Circus, and Gets a Surprise From David McLane!

Podcast
June 19, 2026

Lil J-Boogie, one of WOW’s most upbeat and bubbly personalities, stopped by the Official WOW Podcast to chat with host Nigel Zane about her journey to professional wrestling, her previous injury, and her experience in the circus! Growing up in the small town of Mebane, North Carolina, Boogie always dreamed of moving to a big city to be a professional dancer. At the age of 18, Lil J-Boogie made the daunting move to Los Angeles all on her own in order to pursue her dreams of stardom. Armed with one suitcase, zero job prospects, and a dream, Boogie found a job teaching children’s dance classes. One day Boogie saw a sign that said “Do you want to be a WOW Superhero?” and the rest is history.

Boogie on her first day of training: “I went to the first day of training and I fell absolutely in love with it… I honestly can’t see myself doing anything else. Getting in that ring lights my fire.”

Last year, Lil J-Boogie fractured her elbow and missed an entire season of WOW competition. After losing her day job, she felt hopeless, until she saw an ad to join the circus, and thought why not! Boogie spent the next year traveling the country, spending two weeks in a city before packing up and moving on to the next!

Once Boogie was back at WOW, she worked hard to elevate her moveset. Boogie names Krush as one of the hardest opponents she’d faced, stating that their singles match pushed Boogie to her limits but also cemented her instinct that she was born to be a professional wrestler.
